Frequently Asked Questions
Page Numbers
The page numbers are a guide to let us know how thick to make your cover.
To insert page numbers in Microsoft Word, select Insert from the top left of your screen.
You should see Page Number in the Header & Footer section. Click this and then select Bottom of Page. Generally you would then select Plain Number 2, which would put the numbers in the centre, or Plain Number 3, which would put the numbers at the right / outside.
To change the appearance of your page numbers, select Insert from the top left of your screen again. Click Page Number again and select Format Page Numbers. You should see the box in the third example. Number format allows you to change your numbers to roman numerals or letters. Page numbering allows you to start your numbering from something other than 1.
Your Thesis Printing
If we are printing your thesis for you we use a high quality 120gsm white paper. Every page of every copy is printed, not photocopied, thus guaranteeing the highest quality no matter how many copies you require.
Double Sided Printing
We can print your thesis double sided, if you require this service then put the full amount of pages on the order form and Select double sided printing.
Note: If you are printing double sided please be aware of your formatting. We advise to leave even margins on the page (i.e. 2.5cms on all four margins) This includes putting the page numbers in the middle of the bottom of the page and that you start every new chapter on an odd numbered page (this sometimes means that the previous even numbered page will need to be left blank).
University Specific Requirements
There is an additional information section on our form, in which you may tell us if you would like the university name, school or department etc. placed on the cover or any other requirements from your University regarding the layout. You can also use this section if you require any of the words on your title to be in Italics. Please put the exact words required in the additional information section.

What format should I prepare my file in?
Your file needs to be in PDF format if we are printing your thesis for you. This type of file will insure that the layout of your thesis remains the same no matter what computer it’s being viewed on. We prefer it to be in one file or as few files as possible.
How much of a margin should I leave?
We ask for margins of 3 cm on the inside (left) and 2 cm on all other sides. If your college requires larger margins, we recommend following their guidelines, and have no problem printing as per their requirements.
Can my thesis be printed double sided?
If you have been asked by your college to print the body of your thesis on both sides of the page, we can do that for you. You just need to set up your margins accordingly.
Can you type up my thesis?
Unfortunately we don’t offer a typing service.
How many pages can you bind in a single book?
Depending on the weight of paper we can bind anything up to 600 pages in most cases.
Can the thesis be delivered?
Yes, no problem at all. You can avail of this service while making your order. The delivery fee is €15.00
